Wet-lab validation
Independent cohort experiments to confirm or refute the engine’s top candidates. The single biggest cost line, and the one that turns a prediction into a treatment.
JEN-R8 is independently funded and the engine runs every day. So far: 14.3 million biomarker–drug pairs tested, 10,706 cross-platform validated, 5 provisional patents filed from the first 12 candidates worked up by hand. That’s the floor, not the ceiling. Another 90+ candidates are queued behind them — biomarkers in genes that don’t appear on standard Foundation Medicine panels, and drugs proven in one cancer being retargeted at another that’s never been tested for them. The compute is running. The bottleneck is independent wet-lab validation, and that’s what we cannot do alone.
What your support pays for
Funding gets routed to one of three places. Each one has a measurable next step on the other side of it. Plus 5% to operations (tooling, hosting, minimal admin).
Independent cohort experiments to confirm or refute the engine’s top candidates. The single biggest cost line, and the one that turns a prediction into a treatment.
Continued compute, dataset access, and infrastructure to keep the engine running 24/7 against new disease areas. The computational side is on-lock; this just keeps it running.
Patent counsel for non-provisional conversions, fiscal-sponsorship setup, and the work needed to keep biology open and prevent others from locking up shared knowledge.
What things cost
Sprint to first wet-lab validation. Hosted on GoFundMe for momentum, social proof, and a known platform donors trust. Every dollar is tracked on a public ledger.

Larger gifts & fiscal sponsorship
For institutional support, sponsored milestones, or any gift you’d like routed for tax-deductibility once fiscal sponsorship is finalized, reach out via the form on the researchers page or write directly to donate@jenr8hope.org. We handle major-gift inquiries personally and in full confidence.
Radical transparency
We commit to a public, line-item ledger: date, vendor, amount, what it bought, receipt scan, and the milestone it advances. First entry posts within seven days of our first expense clearing. No grey zone for salaries. No surprise “administrative overhead” categories. If something looks off, we want to hear about it.
On tax deductibility
The JEN-R8 Hope Discovery Institute currently operates as a DBA of Rhatigan AGI LLC, a New Hampshire for-profit LLC. Contributions are not tax-deductible at this time. No portion of any gift should be claimed as a charitable deduction on a US tax return.
We are working toward fiscal sponsorship under a qualified 501(c)(3) so that future contributions can flow as tax-deductible donations. This page will be updated the moment that sponsorship is signed and effective, and the fiscal sponsor will be named here.
If you are considering a gift that requires tax-deductibility now, please reach out to donate@jenr8hope.org and we’ll talk through options.
Honesty about structure is a feature, not a footnote. We’d rather you know exactly what you’re giving to.
